Durga Puja celebrated in honor of Goddess Durga is among the greatest Hindu festivals in India. Durga Puja on Maha Ashtami will start with Mahasnan and Shodashopachar Puja on September 28. There's another ritual known as Kumari Puja happening on Durga Ashtami using the goddess worshipped by means of a youthful unmarried virgin girl, adorned as Goddess Durga.
